Standard Cirrus v1.1 for X-Plane 9.41+

v1.1 was rebuilt completely from scratch. I decided to start over and rebuild the whole thing from the ground up because I found too many problems in v1.0. Shapes and dimensions were corrected; weights and balances were adjusted; I added a more realistic-looking tailwheel. I feel this model is a big improvement over v1.0

Features in v1.1:

- completely new model. Everything was rebuilt from scratch

- light-blue tinted transparent canopy

- glider parts visible from 2-d cockpit interior view

- interior seat and static panel added

- landing gear is fully retractable, including gear doors

- customized panel with various gauges, inlcuding a custom battery voltage meter

- accurate weights and water ballasts added

- choice of auto-rudder or manual rudder control versions

This Cirrus model is quite stable and fairly easy to fly. It does require some trim to fly level. Don't use too much trim when touching down during landings or the nose might eat the pavement when braking!

There are two versions included- one with auto-rudder (for those without rudder pedals), and another with manual rudder control. If you are going to use water ballast, be sure to first push in the yellow ballast release handle on the panel before filling up with water.

I have also created a custom digital voltage meter that shows how much charge the battery has left. A fully charged battery shows 24 volts, and should last about 8 hours with avionics turned on. If you actually happen to stay in the air for 7-8 hours, and your battery runs low, you can always shut off your avionics to save juice.

Good luck with your ridge and thermal soaring!
